Diwali and it’s significance

Diwali is a holiday celebrated around the world. This festive celebration is in Hindu religion to honor to go Rama who made his way to Ayodhya from being in the forest for a decade. In Jainism be celebrate Lord Mahavir, as it is this day that the 24th and last Tirthankara of Jainism attained moksha. Although there are many many Cultures in India many do also celebrate this holiday all around India and around the world. During Diwali we light small oil lamps called diyas. Many people with go to temples and pray to god. There are 4-5 days to Diwali called  Dhanteras as day one, Hanuman Puja as day two, Lakshmi Puja as day three, Govardhan Puja as day 4 and the last one is called Diwali. This holiday is like Christmas we give presents and in the Hindu calendar we call Diwali as a New year. Diwali is light over darkness.
